FMST 235 - Independent Film Production (Study Group) Introduces students to the theory and practice of independent filmmaking. Students become familiar with the fundamentals of media production, including time-based visual storytelling; digital video and audio technologies; and image composition and framing. Simultaneously, students explore the history of independent film production in the United States and particularly in New York City, as well as the narrative, stylistic, industrial, and cultural aspects of contemporary U.S. independent film.
