SOCI 303 - Sociology of Education (RI) Students learn how to apply sociological principles to the study of education. Students examine how educational systems both maintain and challenge social inequality. Students consider the many ways that that education differentially allocates resources based on race/ethnicity, class, gender, and other characteristics. Students apply sociological theory and research methods to investigate contemporary educational policies and issues.
