Major Requirements
The specific requirements for the Classical Studies major are:
- four courses in Latin or four courses in Greek,
- four additional courses in the department,
or
- outside the department with departmental approval, and
- CLAS 401
GPA Requirement
No departmental course with a grade of less than C– is credited toward a major. For graduation, the minimum GPA required in courses counting toward a major is 2.00 (C). All departmental courses taken are used to calculate the major GPA for the classics and classical studies.
