PHIL 304 - Kant and 19th-Century Philosophy (MF) Studies Kant and some major developments in 19th-century continental philosophy that stem from the transformations and criticisms of Kant’s philosophy. Readings are from Kant, Fichte, Schelling, Hegel, Kierkegaard, and Nietzsche, among others. Issues explored include the possibility of knowing things in themselves, the relationship between faith and knowledge, the conditions of experience, and the basis of morality.
