CLAS 235 - Archaeology of Italy An introduction to the archaeology of the Italian peninsula from earliest prehistoric to late imperial times. It surveys the major sites and monuments of native Italic cultures, Greek and Phoenician colonization, Etruscan civilization, Rome, and Pompeii. Attention is given to the ways in which arguments are developed from the archaeological record.
