ENGL 477 - Advanced Workshop An advanced workshop in the writing of fiction, poetry, and/or creative nonfiction. Depending on the semester and the instructor, the course may be structured around a topic, a genre, or both. It will always include the study of literary texts, discussion of student work, and one-on-one conferences. Preference is given to students who have already taken at least one 300-level creative writing workshop and who are majoring in English with an emphasis in creative writing. While this course is required for all students pursuing honors in creative writing, it is also open to students who are not pursuing honors. This course does not fulfill the major requirement for a 400-level seminar in literature.
