ALST 202 - Introduction to African American Studies An introductory course to the field of African American studies. It is interdisciplinary and utilizes materials drawn from the fields of history, sociology, literature, social psychology, and political science. The course seeks to acquaint students with the cutting-edge work in this area and gives students a broad understanding of the place and contributions that African Americans have made to society in the United States.
