HIST 350 - Contemporary European History, 1945 to the Present (EU) Studies Europe’s changing status in the global community since 1945 and the domestic effects of that change. Topics include the movement toward European Union, the Cold War, decolonization, the rise and fall of Communism, and the emergence of multi-racial Europe. Also explores critiques of material prosperity and consumer culture in the West and the tenacity of nationalism in an era characterized by supra-national ideologies. (EU)
