CHEM 385 - Biophysical Chemistry Methods This half-semester integrated laboratory course is designed to be an introduction to modern methods of biophysical chemistry and a bridge to independent research in biological chemistry. This course includes techniques of protein purification from heterologous overexpression or natural sources. This course also focuses on modern methods of protein characterization, including electrophoresis, spectroscopy, enzyme kinetics, dynamic light scattering, and/or X-ray crystallography.
