ARTS 220 - Early Modern European Architecture (AH) Explores European architectural history and theory from c.1400-1800. It is designed to give the student with little or no exposure to architectural history and thinking, or to the period in question, an understanding of issues ranging from the most fundamental to the more advanced, across a number of contexts and case studies. Engages with architectural history as it relates to the body, place, and site; draws heavily on primary source texts as well as foundational and recent scholarship.
